GREAT NEWS:Â STARTING JANUARY 1, 2023, METROPLUSHEALTH MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE THEIR DENTAL BENEFITS FROM DENTAQUEST.Â
Recently, we sent you an announcement along with your new ID Card about our new partnership with DentaQuest, a dental vendor. Starting January 1, 2023, you can begin to use your new ID Card for all your health care needs, including dental services with DentaQuest. Remember to bring your new ID card when you visit your dentist.Â
Your oral health is important to us. Partnering with DentaQuest, we are able to bring their experience and passion for improving oral health care to you. Their dental network is 65% larger than what we have been offering, with more dentists and specialists available than before.
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions:
- What do I need to do because of this change?
- You do not need to do anything. This change will happen automatically January 1, 2023.
- Why did you change dental partners?
- To continue to provide excellent quality of care to our members, we partnered with DentaQuest, as the larger network of providers and increased services will better address the needs of our members.
- Can I continue to see my current dental provider?
- Most likely yes. However, after January 1, 2023, you can use the DentaQuest online find-a-dentist tool to see if your provider is in the network.
- Is there a network provider in my neighborhood?
- The DentaQuest find-a-dentist tool can search for a dentist by location so you can choose a provider near where you live or work. You can use this tool beginning January 1, 2023. Just click here to find a dentist that’s right for you.

If you are currently seeing a dental provider who does not work with DentaQuest, you may be able to keep seeing that provider for up to 90 days after January 1, 2023. You can contact us to learn how to choose a new provider and how to continue receiving care from your current provider for up to 90 days.
