NYS DOH INTRODUCES A NEW PROCESS FOR PERSONAL CARE SERVICES (PCS)
Important information from the NYS DOH: The Office of Mental Health would like to bring to your attention that the Department of Health (DOH) will implement a new independent assessment process for all adults aged 18 years and older newly seeking Medicaid personal care services (PCS), consumer-directed personal assistance services (CDPAS), and MLTC plan eligibility.
The initial assessment process includes:
- The Community Health Assessment (CHA); and
- A clinical exam, conducted by a clinician on an Independent Practitioner Panel (IPP)
To schedule an appointment for individuals newly seeking Medicaid PCS or CDPAS, contact the NYIA at 855-222-8350Â
