METROPLUSHEALTH EXPANDS IMPACT IN THE BRONX WITH THE OPENING OF A SECOND COMMUNITY OFFICE
The Fordham Road office will provide much-needed health and wellness resources to members of the local community
NEW YORK, July 17, 2024 – MetroPlusHealth, New York City’s high-quality, affordable health plan, announced the opening of its second Bronx community office at 25 East Fordham Road. The new space, located in the area’s Business Improvement District, will be open Monday through Friday, 9am – 6pm and on Saturdays, 10am – 3pm. The office will address barriers to health and wellness and offer local residents education about health insurance options, renewal and new application assistance, among other services.
The community office’s grand opening celebration will take place on Wednesday, July 31st, with a ribbon cutting ceremony starting at 2:45pm. The festive event will feature music, refreshments, goodie bags, and more. Local elected officials, including Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson and Assemblymember Yudelka Tapia, will visit during the opening.

The strategic expansion builds on MetroPlusHealth’s presence in the Bronx offering a convenient location near NYC Health + Hospital’s North Central Bronx Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx Care Health System, and Union Community Health Center. MetroPlusHealth is proudly committed to the Bronx community and employs local residents at its Southern Boulevard office as well as Medicare representatives, sales representatives, and customer service support from the surrounding area for the new center.
