MetroPlus provides low or no-cost health insurance to eligible people living in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens through the following plans:

• MetroPlus Medicare

The newest addition to MetroPlus Medicare is MetroPlus Platinum Plan (HMO), a Medicare Advantage plan for anyone eligible for Medicare. Now, MetroPlus offers health insurance options for almost anyone eligible for government-sponsored health insurance.


MetroPlus also offers MetroPlus Gold, a plan for employees of MetroPlus and New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) and their dependents.

MetroPlus' mission is to provide our members with access to high quality primary and preventative health care through our partnership with HHC and over 11,000 dedicated providers. MetroPlus was rated #1 Medicaid Managed Care health plan in NYC for 2009, based on indicators chosen by the New York State Department of Health.
