METROPLUS ANNOUNCES NEW ASSOCIATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR – JULIE MYERS, M.D., M.P.H
MetroPlus Health Plan today announced the appointment of Julie Myers, M.D., M.P.H., as the City’s public option health plan’s new Associate Medical Director, assuming a leadership role in the plan’s Partnership in Care (PIC) Special Needs Plan, serving HIV-positive, transgender, and homeless New Yorkers and their families.
Her appointment was effective Monday, February 3. Dr. Myers, a recognized national expert in HIV prevention, previously served as Director of HIV Prevention in the Bureau of HIV at NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH)
