NYC Care
In New York City, you have the right to guaranteed health care.
It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from: if you live in New York City, you have the right to have your own doctor and access to medication 24/7 to keep yourself and your family healthy. With NYC Care, New Yorkers will be able to access a broad range of services provided by any of the 70 patient care locations, including 11 hospitals and dozens of community-based health centers, of NYC Health + Hospitals, the nation’s largest public health system.
NYC Care is not health insurance. It’s a health access program for New Yorkers who are not eligible for insurance or cannot afford insurance based on federal guidelines. NYC Care is now available in all 5 boroughs.
Access to a doctor—whenever and wherever you need it!
MetroPlusHealth Virtual Visit is the fast, easy way for our members to see a provider for common physical, mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues that are not emergencies. MetroPlusHealth Virtual Visit is available anytime, from anywhere in New York State, 24/7 – and in your language.
Know your rights and protections against surprise medical bills!
When you get emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you are protected from balance billing. In these cases, you shouldn’t be charged more than your plan’s copayments, coinsurance and/or deductible.
