Child Health Plus
Coverage for kids – at low or no cost.
Who is it for?
All children under age 19 who are New York state residents and are not eligible for Medicaid can enroll in Child Health Plus if they don’t already have health insurance and are not eligible for coverage under the public employees’ state health benefits plan.
The Child Health Plus plan provides protection for children under age 19—everything from check-ups to dental care, from the MetroPlusHealth citywide list of providers. It’s available for all children under age 19, who live in New York City and don’t qualify for Medicaid.
What’s more, in many cases, plan coverage comes at no cost. Depending on your family’s income and size, there may be a small monthly premium.
