Tuberculosis (TB) is still a life-threatening problem in New York City. Eliminating TB requires the collaboration of the Health Department, health care providers, and communities. Reporting TB to LPHA Although physicians have primary responsibility for reporting, school nurses, laboratory directors, infection control practitioners, daycare center directors, health care facilities, state institutions and any other individuals/locations providing health care services are also required to report communicable diseases. Click here for more information.
