Broker Certification and Training

MetroPlusHealth requires our appointed Medicare brokers have AHIP certification.

Face-to-Face training is not required — MetroPlusHealth offers online training modules to brokers.

A broker who certifies for 2023 will be certified for 2024 as well if their license remains valid and they complete product and compliance training for 2024.  With changes in products, brokers need to take updated trainings for 2024.

Brokers that are onboarding and certifying for the first time must provide MetroPlusHealth with the following information:

  • a current resume
  • a copy of their broker license
  • background check documents
