Eligibility Checks
Providers will not be able to check eligibility via the Change Healthcare platform. Participating MetroPlus Health providers can check eligibility through the provider portal. All providers can check eligibility for Medicaid members through ePaces.
Claims processing
MetroPlusHealth has partnered with Availity for claims processing and we are expecting to have claims flowing through our system by the week of March 11, 2024. We will be sure to update this page when claims processing is established.
Electronic Remittance Advices (ERA)
ERA will be delayed while this disruption is ongoing. In the meantime, you can check on the provider portal for an explanation of payment. Training is available in the portal under “Resources” and “Training and Education”. You can also click here for a guide to how to pull an explanation of payment.
Availity Clearinghouse
Providers can access and submit electronic claims through the Availity Clearinghouse. Information on how to register can be found in the Availity Portal Registration Guide below. You will need the following to get started:
- Physical and billing addresses
- Tax ID (EIN or SSN)
- NPI (if you have one)
- Primary specialty/taxonomy
- MetroPlus Payor ID is 13265

The timely filing period to submit claims will be extended by an additional 30 days. Updates will be on this page.
